Full City Challenge: Food Innovations
Posted by Economy League of Greater Philadelphia on December 4, 2018
Can YOU leverage Philly’s considerable food assets to tackle civic challenges in our region?
The Full City Challenge is a rapid incubator focused on identifying and supporting innovative collaborations that draw upon our region’s robust food economy to address social and community challenges.
A partnership between the Economy League and Billy Penn, the Full City Challenge will launch in December 2018 with a call seeking short proposals for initiatives, campaigns, social enterprises, technology platforms, and other innovative solutions that leverage the hospitality, restaurant, agriculture or other food-related industries for social impact.
Put simply, if you can think of a project that will harness the region’s food boom and use it to lift up more Philadelphians, we want to know what it is — and maybe even help you get it started.
The Economy League and Billy Penn will invite select applicants to participate in an intense, one-day workshop with expert advisors and pitch their ideas at a public event in early 2019, where the winners of the Full City Challenge will be named. Winners will be provided a stipend to help pilot their ideas, ongoing technical assistance from the Economy League, and media coverage by Billy Penn.
