Posted by Literacy Partners on March 12, 2024
We are excited to share an invaluable opportunity for Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers with children aged 0-8 in your community! La Fuerza de Familias Latinas (LFFL) is hosting a series of free virtual workshops tailored to empower Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers in Early Literacy and STEM, in language and culture.
Workshop Methodology:
We use the compelling narrative of the Univision telenovela mini-series “La Fuerza de Creer” and its storytelling power through our STORY ⤻ VOICE ⤻ ACTION sequence. Through collaborative storytelling, we empower parents and caregivers to enhance literacy and STEM learning in everyday moments. Our facilitators guide discussions, centering participant voices and fostering reflection. Then, through practical activities, we reinforce positive attitudes and behaviors, nurturing a love for literacy and curiosity for STEM.
