Free Tech Training for High Schoolers – Nov 3
Posted by Launchpad Philly on October 22, 2024
Launchpad Philly is a free tech training program available for all 11th and 12th graders citywide. Our mission is to connect high schoolers to high paying careers in the tech industry. The program is 2.5 years, paid ($18,000 over the program duration), and equips students with coding skills, work-ready soft skills, industry certifications, and up to 30 college credits. Students will leave the program with proficiency in Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and full-stack web development.
Applications for our third cohort close on November 3, 2024! If you work with or know any young people who might be a good fit for the program, please encourage them to apply on our website.
Additionally, we are hosting an open house with AI workshops on ChatGPT as part of the STEM Ecosystem’s STEM Equity Week on Tuesday October 29, 2024 from 5-7pm at our facility at 801 Market Street. The workshops will target a high school-aged audience, but anyone is welcome to come. RSVP here. The open house is a great chance for prospective students to see our space, meet current students, fill out an application, and learn more about AI. The flyer is attached, feel free to share it with your networks. Please reach out with any questions!
If you are interested in employer partnership or volunteering, please reach out to our executive director Dannyelle Austin ([email protected]).
