Free Online Course: National Service and American Democracy
Posted by Service Year Alliance on August 13, 2018
Service Year Alliance is partnering with Arizona State University to help service year corps members learn about how their service year connects to the history of national service in America while also providing the option to receive college credit. Our online course, National Service and American Democracy, is designed to cover the current state of civic engagement in the U.S. and how national service plays a role. It will also prompt learners to think about their own personal views and involvement with civic engagement and national service.
The first class, starting August 14th, is now open for enrollment! Service year corps members, alums, program staff, and others interested in national service are welcome to enroll.

The first session of this open-enrollment online course will run from August 14th through October 9th. You can audit the course for free or take it as a verified learner for $25 where your work will be evaluated and you will earn a course certificate. If you choose to take the verified learner track, for $400 you can then choose to convert the class into 3 ASU college credits after receiving your final grade.
