Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life is an academic partner of the FYI program. So I am pleased to post the call for 2006 submissions. A bare bones announcement is contained in this announcement. FYI / FILM YOUR ISSUE is a nationwide competition for undergraduate college students to create 30 to 60 second second live action or animated "issue films" on any topical issue. As a partner organization, Imagining America encourages faculty to share this information with their students. And we urge students to create adventurous and truthful work in response. There are few grounds rules except copyright issues – not using music or film that is copyrighted – and taking care about obscenity laws. Deadline for submissions is April 7, 2006. For full, updated information, please visit the FYI web site. Please circulate this announcement to interested groups.
