Apply for the Fall 2023 Community Health Worker Peer/ Certified Peer Specialist Training Academy, a program of Drexel University Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements Include:
- Philadelphia resident
- Age 18-24
- HS diploma or GED
- Not currently enrolled in school this semester
- Lived experience of violence (to yourself or someone close to you)
- Vaccinated/ or willing to receive FULL COVID-19 vaccination by September 4th, 2023*
- Willing to commit to 165 hours of training over 9 weeks
Drexel University is able to offer the Community Health Worker/Certified Peer Specialist Training Academy for free thanks to funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program. This screening form asks for information to determine if you are eligible to participate in the WIOA Youth Program.
