Afterschool Webinar: Empatico: A Platform for Empathy
Wednesday, June 19 at 1 PM ET
About this webinar:
Wondering how to incorporate more social and emotional learning in your program? Empatico is a new, free tool for educators working with 6-11 year old youth that helps students build empathy by connecting young people to communities and cultures that are very different from their own. The platform is easy to use, and interactions are built around your schedule. Through a combination of live video and activities, youth have the opportunity to connect and with others that come from very different backgrounds to find common ground through meaningful conversations that spark curiosity, kindness, and empathy.
Join us to learn about how you can use Empatico at your afterschool or summer learning program site! For a limited time, the Afterschool Alliance is offering $50 gift cards for sites that sign up through our link and complete an activity on Empatico. Additional funds may be available for sites that complete more than one activity. Learn how you can leverage Empatico’s platform to further your efforts in building important social and emotional skills for kids.
