Community School Initiative Award for Excellence
The purpose of the Community School Initiative award is to highlight the effectiveness and efficiency of local community school initiatives that are organizing community resources to improve results for young people as well as their families and communities.
Eligibility:
Joint efforts between schools and community stakeholders that have organized multiple community school sites with a strong commitment to scaling up across the community or school system. The Coalition for Community Schools encourages nominations from any community school initiative that meets the selection criteria outlined in the application. Please note, schools are not required to call themselves a “community school” (terms such as community learning centers, full service community schools and others are often used).
Applications are due on February 9, 2015.
