Virtual Event: Community School Coordinator Boot Camp – Mar 16,23&30
Posted by National Center for Community Schools on February 15, 2022
The National Center for Community Schools at Children’s Aid is now accepting registrations for Community School Coordinator Boot Camp, a new professional learning opportunity that’s designed specifically to support the role at the heart of community schools.
While coordinators go by different titles — “Site Facilitator,” “Hub Coordinator,” or “Community School Director” to name a few — it’s never been more important than now to support their skill-building and development, as a growing number of school districts across the country are adopting and scaling the community school strategy.
Held over three half-days in March, the Boot Camp will provide a series of cohort-based sessions planned to help participants:
- Gain foundational skills and knowledge for success as a coordinator
- Develop an action plan to effectively lead their community school
- Grow a network of national peers for ongoing learning and support
Each attendee will receive a hard copy of Leading with Passion and Purpose, the National Center’s seminal guidebook that includes practical advice and tools grounded in lessons from nearly 30 years of providing technical assistance and capacity building to coordinators all over the country. Our practice-based team looks forward to helping you to hone the leadership and strategic skills essential to disrupt inequity and provide every child with opportunity and a sense of belonging.
