Conference on College Composition and Communication Seeks Nominations for Advancement of Knowledge Award

The Conference on College Composition and Communication supports and promotes the teaching and study of college composition and communication by sponsoring meetings and publishing scholarly materials that facilitate the exchange of knowledge about composition, composition pedagogy, and rhetoric; supports a wide range of research on composition, communication, and rhetoric; works to enhance the conditions for learning and teaching college composition and to promote professional development; and acts as an advocate for language and literacy education nationally and internationally.

CCCC is accepting nominations for the Advancement of Knowledge Award, which is presented annually for empirical research published in the previous two years that most advances the teaching and study of writing. A work eligible for the 2017 award will have been published in calendar year 2015 or 2016.

To be eligible for the award, a nominee must be a member of CCCC and/or the National Council of Teachers of English at the time of nomination. To nominate a publication for the award, the author, editor, publisher, or reader must be a CCCC and/or NCTE member.
