CCNYPA’s Community of Practice (CoP) – Boundary Spanning Leadership Skills in Higher Education: Activating an Equitable Civic Mission
Boundary spanning leadership is the “ability to create direction, alignment and commitment across organizational boundaries in service of a higher vision or goal (Ernst & Chrobot-Mason, 2011).” At the nexus of institutional change for civic action lies the opportunity to utilize boundary leadership to effect change.
Learn how to better navigate the complex politics within your institution. Practice the skills needed to advocate for democratic engagement. Our summer Community of Practice will explore the boundary spanning leadership skills you need to leverage your institution’s mission for the public good.
The Fall Community of Practice starts on October 8, 2020. Application due September 28, 2020.
