Campaign for the Civic Mission of Schools
The Campaign for the Civic Mission of Schools is a long-term effort to renew and elevate civic education in the schools. The Campaign will work with coalition partners to bring about changes in state, local, and national policy that implement the recommendations in The Civic Mission of Schools report. A major component of the Campaign focuses on education policy at the state and local level. In that connection, the Campaign has issued a Request for Proposals seeking applications from state-level coalitions for grants in two categories: $150,000 over two years, and $20,000 over two years. The large grant RFP deadline is due June 18, 2004 and the small grant RFP is due August 2, 2004.
