Call for Art Submissions: End AIDS: HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit
Posted by Philadelphia FIGHT on May 7, 2018
What is End AIDS: The HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit?
End AIDS: HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit is a program part of our 24th annual AIDS Education Month. This year’s Prevention Summit will provide the latest information about research, evidence-based HIV prevention, outreach strategies, and best practices.
Why Art?
Art is an essential creative component to life. It allows us to process life experiences on a soul level typically defined through artistic expression and imagination. As an HIV prevention summit, we are looking for empowering art that speaks to the history, activism, current trends, treatment, and education around HIV and AIDS awareness. Highlighting the creative contributions of individuals and organizations fighting to end all intersections of oppression, prejudice, and stigma of HIV/AIDS that perpetuate fear and existing stigmas will add to this educational platform. Your artwork will pull together the work of community organizers, activists, and those most impacted by this disease providing a visual voice to promote awareness.
Who is the Audience?
This summit brings together the communities that are impacted by HIV and AIDS, service providers, family and loved ones, faith based organizations, community members, activists and advocates.
