Apply to Be a Board Member – YouthBuild Pennsylvania Coalition – Jan 8
Posted by YouthBuild on December 8, 2020
YouthBuild Pennsylvania Coalition is seeking to expand its board and encourage YouthBuild alumni and those with connections to Pennsylvania’s Opportunity Youth network to apply. YouthBuild Pennsylvania Coalition seeks to add three (3) additional seats to the Coalition’s Board of Directors.
These additional three members will align to the mission of the Coalition, seeking to advance leadership development and employment pathways for Opportunity Youth (OY). Two (2) seats will be reserved for those individuals who have ties to Pennsylvania’s OY network and can bring additional fundraising resources to the Coalition. The remaining third seat will be reserved for an alumni of a YouthBuild program in Pennsylvania.
Board members will be expected to participate in a monthly board meeting, as well as a monthly committee meeting. Meetings are currently conducted via Zoom meetings. Work between meetings will be focused on raising resources and expanding the network of the Coalition as a whole. Board members should expect to contribute 2-4 hours per week to the Coalition.
Candidates for the board should represent the geographic diversity of the Coalition, with strong ties to Pennsylvania’s OY network. Additional consideration will be given to those candidates who can raise the national profile of the Coalition. New Board members to the Coalition will serve a 1 year term with the option to renew. These Board members will serve no more than 3 years total.
