Application open for 2015 Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences
Posted by Penn State University on February 2, 2015
(PGSAS). This no-cost program provides high school juniors with the opportunity to live on campus at Penn State University (University Park campus) and participate in an intensive study of the agricultural sciences. PGSAS is a five week, residential program that allows students to engage with and explore agricultural sciences through core courses, hands-on laboratory/field-based learning, field trips, special events and unique lectures.
The PGSAS program allows students to think about their life beyond high school in a new way, as they gain a better understanding of the opportunities in the agricultural sciences and spend five weeks living and learning on the campus of a major university. The program creates a collaborative living and learning environment, with inquiry-based learning and hands-on projects driving their work throughout the program.
