AmeriCorps Funding
Posted by on November 1, 2002
In November a Request For Applications for a new cycle of grant funding for AmeriCorps will be released. An anticipated $6 to $7 Million will be distributed to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and successfully emerge from our peer review process. Eligible applicants are: education institutions, local government, state agencies and community- and faith-based nonprofit organizations; programs must be large enough to achieve a demonstrable impact on the community service. Substantial cash and in-kind matches are required from the applicant. Community-based partnerships that build upon the strengths of the collaborators to meet collective objectives and share resources are encouraged.
