Affordable Internet Connectivity Program Event – Jul 19
Posted by Drexel University on July 18, 2023
The Dornsife Center at Drexel Univrsity is hosting an event on Wednesday, July 19, 1:00-6:00 PM to provide families access to free and low-cost internet. We are currently promoting the event, and would appreciate help from our community with spreading the word!
The City of Philadelphia’s PHLConnectED program has helped pre-K–12 families access free or low-cost internet. However, this service is ending on July 31, 2023.
Families have the opportunity to switch to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which will provide $30 off their monthly internet bill. For most, the credit will qualify as free internet. If families do not switch, they will see a new monthly charge on future bills when PHLConnectED ends.
The event is free and open to everyone, and lunch will be served. Volunteers will be available to work 1-on-1 through the enrollment process.
