Addressing Mental Health Needs of Diverse Children and Youth

RWJF offers help for mental health needs of immigrant children
Recognizing the unique mental health challenges facing growing numbers of immigrant and refugee children, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has launched a national program to reduce emotional and behavioral health problems among school children in low-income, immigrant and refugee families.
The program, Caring Across Communities: Addressing Mental Health Needs of Diverse Children and Youth, includes support for 15 projects across the country that work to bring school connected mental health services to children in need, particularly those from immigrant and refugee families.
As part of the project, RWJF has published the Caring Across Communities Briefing Kit, which provides an overview of the project, the context for its development, fact sheets and stories from the field.
