Access Engineering Fall 2023 Program (Phila. High School Students) – Sep 22
Posted by Access Engineering on September 5, 2023
Access Engineering is a group of engineering students from Penn whose goal is to provide a free engineering education to students in the Philadelphia area. We provide lessons on multiple engineering disciplines, including computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc. Our goal is not only to teach students practical engineering skills, but also to give students exposure to various engineering educations, demonstrate engineering as a viable career path, and provide mentorship for post-high school life.
Our lessons will be held on Penn’s campus on Saturday mornings from 10am – 1pm for around 10 weeks. Our tentative schedule has lessons starting on September 30th and ending on December 2nd.
Our application is currently due on Friday, September 22. We can provide SEPTA key cards for students who are admitted into the program, but otherwise students will need to arrange transportation to and from Penn’s campus. Lunch will also be provided to students during all our sessions.
