2025 PECO STEM Teaching Fellows Program – Mar 7

Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on March 4, 2025

The PECO STEM Teaching Fellows Program is an intensive short-term virtual educator professional development workshop series designed for K-8 teachers seeking to grow and deepen their awareness, comfort, and understanding of the Pennsylvania STEELS standards. Workshops will cover the fundamental three-dimensional concepts of these new standards while showcasing how to align them to student literacy, equitable access, and student voice. The PECO STEM Teaching Fellows will then produce and present a Capstone Project in the form of an engaging STEM lesson plan to implement in their classrooms. Sessions will occur weekly, on Thursday afternoons, from 3:45-5:45pm from April 3, 2025, to May 15, 2025.

Applications are due by close of business on Friday, March 7, 2025, with decisions emailed by Friday, March 14, 2025.

Completing the PECO STEM Teaching Fellows Program workshop series will provide attendees with valuable teaching strategies and how to align your instruction to STEELS. Participants who complete the program will also receive Act 48 credits, a $300 stipend, and opportunities to network with content experts and like-minded educator colleagues.
