Visionary Women, Hostetler/Wrigley Foundation invite nominations for 2023 Visionary Prize for Women’s Economic Empowerment
Visionary Women and the Hostetler/Wrigley Foundation invite nominations for the second annual Visionary Prize for Women’s Economic Empowerment.
The prize will recognize three visionary women leading nonprofits that advance women’s economic empowerment in the United States. Prizes will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that demonstrably advance the economic empowerment of women through the following means: provide access to capital; provide access to non-monetary resources that support economic advancement (e.g., mentoring, training, personal, professional development, or technical business support); and/or remove barriers to allow women to participate and succeed in the workforce fully.
Prizes will be awarded to the chosen leaders’ nonprofits for general operating expenses and include the Visionary Prize for Women’s Economic Empowerment ($75,000), Visionary Prize Runner-Up ($25,000), and Rising Visionary Award ($15,000). Honorees will be celebrated at an in-person ceremony in Los Angeles in early March (the foundations will cover travel expenses).
To be eligible, applicants for the Visionary Prize must have been in operation for at least four years, be able to provide data on prior outcomes/impact, have an annual budget over $500,000, and be operating in the United States; applicants for the Rising Visionary Award must have been in operation at least 12 months and less than four years, be able to provide data on prior outcomes/impact, have an annual budget under $500,000 and be operating in the U.S.
