Webinar: The Humanities, Transformative Texts, and the Reinvention of General Education – Oct 7
Posted by American Association of Colleges and Universities on September 29, 2026
On October 7, 3:00-4:00 PM, join leaders from Alabama State University, Emory University, Houston City College, and the Ursuline College Campus of Gannon University for a free webinar exploring how they are reimagining general education through the Teagle Foundation’s Cornerstone: Learning for Living initiative.
Panelists will share how they are building interdisciplinary programs around transformative texts, engaging students, earning faculty support, navigating curricular change, and assessing what students carry with them beyond the classroom.
Considering bringing Cornerstone to your campus? The webinar will also include practical guidance from the Teagle Foundation on the Cornerstone grant opportunity, the application process, and what makes for a strong proposal ahead of the next funding round.
