Philly Service Award

Posted by The Philly Service Award on June 16, 2026

The Philly Service Award (PSA) creates transformational opportunities for the city of Philadelphia, its students, faculty, and schools. Annually, we partner with Philadelphia high schools to cultivate service and leadership in the next generation, giving young people the resources to be the architects of a better Philly.

We offer every high school in Philadelphia*:

  • $1,000 for a student group to design, lead, and execute a community improvement project
  • $1,000 in classroom wish list fulfillment funding for the faculty advisor overseeing the group
  • Invite-only Faculty event
  • Access to exclusive Participating Schools events through PSA
  • Recommendation letters for every student participant
  • An educational session with Drexel University for students
  • The chance to compete for a share of $140,000 in prizes through our Impact Awards. (Impact Award prizes are unrestricted funds that can be used for school improvement and student enrichment.)

*Please note, the opportunity is not available to virtual schools in Philadelphia due to the in-person nature of the projects. All public, private, public, and parochial schools are invited to participate. One community improvement grant per school.
