Kindness in Community Fund: Nominate an Organization – Jul 18
Posted by Born This Way Foundation on July 15, 2025
Born This Way Foundation’s Kindness in Community Fund provides grants to community-led, youth-focused organizations supporting mental health. To help identify our next cohort of grantees, we’re inviting young people to tell us about organizations doing this important work.
Young people have stated clearly their need for proactive mental health support. Born This Way Foundation will provide grants to fund free, accessible, community-informed resources to support youth mental health. Born This Way Foundation requests nominations from young people themselves, of tax-exempt organizations, non-profits, NGOs, and similar types of organizations based in the above listed countries that are focused on mental health, and:
- are informed and/or led by young people,
- are rooted in practices of community, inclusion, and equity at all levels, and
- provide free and accessible mental health resources.
Born This Way Foundation aims to provide funding in the spirit of partnership and through a process that is as simple and impactful as possible. As such, Born This Way Foundation will vet nominated organizations and a shortlist of nominated organizations will be identified by our Youth Advisory Board, a global group of young people ages 15-24. Shortlisted organizations will then be invited to submit a streamlined grant proposal summarizing how they would use the funds. Grant sizes will be based on the proposals submitted, up to $150,000 USD per organization.
