Citywide “Power Up Tour” Launches to Distribute Free Laptops Across Philadelphia – June 3,21
Posted by City of Philadelphia on June 3, 2025
The Office of Innovation and Technology, in partnership with the City Council and community organizations, announced the launch of the Power Up Tour. This citywide initiative is another step forward in the Office of Innovation and Technology’s mission of closing the digital divide by delivering 500 free laptops directly to the hands of residents who need them most.
The Power Up Tour will visit 10 City Council districts throughout the year, setting up pop-up events to ensure residents can access the tools and technology necessary for work, school, healthcare, and everyday life. Each stop will offer device distribution, information on free or low-cost internet programs, and opportunities to connect with local digital resources to 50 pre-registered residents.
