School District of Philadelphia Teacher Residency Program – Nov 1

The School District of Philadelphia is currently recruiting our seventh cohort of teacher residents for the SY2024-25 school year! Our Teacher Residency Program is a great opportunity for aspiring educators to immerse themselves in a full-year training program that prepares them to enter the classroom and support student success.

The District’s Teacher Residency Program:

• Trains residents with a background in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Spanish Language or Special Education to teach in middle and secondary schools.
• Partners with four (4) graduate-level educator preparation programs to support residents on their way to earning their PA Instructional I teaching certification, as well as credits towards a Master’s degree.
• Provides a supportive, hands-on preparatory experience for individuals who are entering the classroom for the first time and have not previously participated in a teacher education program.
