Posted by PA Department of Human Services on August 29, 2023
In this webinar, staff from the PA Department of Human Services (DHS) will review the criteria postsecondary students must meet to be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) benefits. DHS staff will discuss how institution type, enrollment status, meal plan receipt, and other factors can impact a student’s eligibility for SNAP, and how institutions can become community partners to help low-income students apply for SNAP online. Attendees also will learn about recent policy changes and new outreach strategies designed to connect more potentially eligible students to SNAP benefits.
