Breaking Fast, Confronting Hate: An Interfaith Iftar Celebration – Apr 20
Posted by Mayor's Commission on Faith-based and Interfaith Affairs on April 18, 2023
Join the Mayor’s Commission on Faith-Based & Interfaith Affairs (MCFBIA) for a special event, “Breaking fast, Confronting Hate: An Interfaith Iftar Celebration,” hosted by the Peace Islands Institute Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, and MCFBIA. The event will take place at Philadelphia City Hall – Conversation Hall on April 20th at 6.30 pm.
This will be an opportunity to bring together leaders and representatives from various faith and community groups to break bread together, share in conversation, and learn about each other’s traditions and cultures, especially on Ramadan, Passover, and Easter, which fall during the same time period this year. With the recent rise of hate incidents, this event will also provide a platform to show solidarity against hate and build stronger relationships.
We would be honored if you could join us and take part in this important event. Please feel free to extend this invitation to other community leaders and representatives whom you believe would benefit from this event.
