New Report: State of Community Gardens in Philadelphia
Posted by on November 23, 2009
We’re writing to share our Harvest Report on community gardening in Philadelphia, which summarizes our research quantifying food production in gardens and tracing gardeners’ distribution of food. We hope it is useful in understanding the recent history, current conditions, and especially the “informal” economies of community gardening – and more broadly, making sense of community gardens’ impacts on community food security. We also hope it is useful as we work together to rebuild Philadelphia’s community gardening and urban agriculture sector.

Special thanks to all of you who helped with this project in a great variety of ways!
Please feel free to share this with colleagues, students, and other interested parties.
