2022-2023 Staff Training and Programs for Afterschool Environmental Clubs – Aug 9,10&11

Stroud Water Research Center, Let’s Go Outdoors and partners will support staff in leading environmental and outdoor afterschool clubs/programs. This program can support 10 afterschool program sites for the school year. 1-4 staff at each afterschool site may participate in the training program. Staff at each afterschool site may also take turns as needed.
Training Provided:
- Initial 18 hour summer institute (August 9, 10, & 11).
- Monthly support meetings (Zoom).
- 14 onsite E-STEM experiences led by project partners during after-school time for each club.
- 1 offsite field experience led by Let’s Go Outdoors for each after-school club to participate in.
- Environmental Club Resources Kits (~$2,000 worth of instructional supplies).
- Culminating summer institute (after the school year in June).
- Act 48 Professional Development Hours for teachers will be provided for the training and support time.
Expectations: Commitment to the program cohort for the full school year.
