Colocation America invites applications for STEM innovation grants

Colocation America is inviting applications for its STEM Innovation Grant, which will award grants of up to $7,500 in support of programs that inspire and encourage Pre-K-12 students to pursue their interest and curiosity in STEM.

Eligible programs and projects will offer students an innovative approach to learning STEM, developmentally appropriate STEM curriculum and/or resources, and activities that support the real-life application of STEM knowledge. Both innovative pilot programs, and long-proven STEM programs around the United States, will be awarded.

In 2022, five grants will be chosen and awarded by five different Colocation America staff members, who will each have $1,500 to reward to their organization of choice. In addition, the STEM grant committee member will award up to 10 grants of between $2,000 and $7,500.

Funds awarded through the grant may be used in the following ways: tools/equipment, stipends for staff, field trips, travel expenses (e.g., buses), curriculum development and/or purchase, and professional development.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and public school districts, private/public elementary, and/or secondary schools with STEM-specific programming.

Letters of intent are due May 13, 2022, and the selected applicants will be invited as finalists, with the application deadline to be July 8, 2022.
