Free Community-Based and Engaged Learning Training – Jan 7

If you are interested in learning more about the foundations of Community-Based and Community-Engaged pedagogy, and exploring how to implement it in your own teaching practices or in a particular course, please attend this free training hosted by the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement.
The training includes one synchronous day of presentations and dialogue on Friday, January 7th, from 10am to 3pm, ET, as well as asynchronous modules that can be viewed by participants on their own time before the 7th. Topics include Community-Based Learning (CBL) learning outcomes and syllabus development, CBL teaching modalities, making a case for your CBL course, creating community partnerships, and essential CBL classroom tools like intentional language, self and collective reflection, facilitating dialogue, and connecting personal experiences to systems-level thinking.
