Resist Invites Applications for Social Change, Justice Grants

Boston-based Resist redistributes resources back to frontline communities at the forefront of change while amplifying their efforts to build a better world.

To advance this mission, the organization welcomes applications from grassroots organizations led by those most impacted by intersecting systems of oppression that are working to advance justice and liberation. Two types of grants will be awarded for this call:

General Support — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded to groups that are building movements for justice and liberation and against systemic oppression through grassroots/cultural organizing, art-making, and resilience building.

Accessibility — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded for work that specifically allows a group’s work to be more accessible to community members with specific accessibility needs.

To be eligible, applicants must have an organizational budget under $150,000 a year, be based in the United States, and be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) according to the Internal Revenue Code, be a federally recognized American Indian tribal government or agency, or be sponsored by a previously listed entity.

See the Resist website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.

Deadline: June 4, 2021
