Lunch & Learn about Virtual Service – Sep 30
Posted by City Year Philadelphia on September 22, 2020
City Year Philadelphia cordially invites you to attend our Lunch & Learn conversation about virtual service!
Pivoting to virtual service this past spring was no small task, but through this challenging time City Year still found effective ways to keep students on track with their learning. Citing our near-peer, relationship-based approach, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation highlighted City Year as one of three organizations fueled by AmeriCorps making a notable impact on students and schools as we continue to navigate the challenges of the pandemic.
Enjoy your lunch while hearing from Dawn McCray, Managing Director of Impact and Deanna Derry, Impact Manager about what virtual service looks like for City Year Philadelphia. With a Q&A component moderated by Senior AmeriCorps member, Sara Pasquarello, this informal conversation will illustrate how we are collaborating with the School District of Philadelphia, charter schools, and school leaders to continue to aid in the socio-emotional and academic success of students.
Date and Time: Wednesday, September 30, 2020, 12:00-12:45 PM
This event is virtual and the Zoom link will be sent upon registration!
