Call for Volunteers: Serve in Support Roles for Behavioral Health Services – Coping First Aid
Posted by Penn Medicine on May 5, 2020
Due to a heightened need for mental health support among healthcare workers and hospital staff, we are seeking volunteers to serve as mental health first-responders in the Penn hospital system. Volunteers will be trained in Coping First Aid techniques, and you do not need to be a licensed mental health professional to serve in this role. Just a compassionate human with empathy and close listening skills.
If you have questions about the training, the role, or what kind of support you will have in the role, please feel warmly encouraged to contact Rivka at rivkat.cohen@gmail.com.
You can find more info or complete an application here, under “Coping First Aid”: https://www.med.upenn.edu/PennMedicineTogether/volunteers-needed/
