Be a Tree Leader with Us This Fall and Order Trees to Plant – Jul 15

Posted by PA IPL on July 14, 2026

Why plant trees with us?

By planting native trees, you support pollinators who fulfill an essential role in the process of growing food. In the words of Yvonne Paranick, a member of our network; “Just as we take care of our bodies, we should take care of the earth. If we lose our pollinators, we lose our food, and we lose our life. They are all so interconnected, so we need to look at scripture from a different point of view. Then, when we talk about revelation, when you talk about end times and the second coming, it’s not just about people! It is the recreation of creation.” – Yvonne Paranick, Lutheran, Gardener, Educator, and Environmentalist.

The deadline to order trees if you want to host a distribution this fall is on Wednesday, July 15th. If you can’t get your order in by then, no worries! This same form will be used on a rolling basis for future tree distributions, so any request received after July 15th will be considered for a Spring 2027 distribution.

Roots, Branches, & Hands is designed to empower community tree leaders, and distribution is one of these branches. We invite you to take advantage of the other branches of this program including the Tree2Table cohort and technical assistance for community tree projects!

The Tree2Table cohort is an opportunity to learn community tree leadership skills with a cohort of peers and receive 1:1 support from PA IPL staff to complete a tree project. Learn more and apply by August 1.

Anyone can also request assistance and funding for tree projects such as planting street trees, replacing hazardous trees or removing roots, and more. Apply for technical assistance here.
