Providing meals and snacks for healthcare providers during coronavirus

We hope you and your loved ones are doing well in these challenging times. We are reaching out for your support as Coronavirus continues to victimize so many.

In our community there are dedicated health care professionals who are working tirelessly and putting themselves and their loved ones at risk to take care of our medical needs.

Champions of Caring, a not for profit organization, Main Line Health Systems and California Pizza Kitchen (“CPK”), on City Avenue , are partnering to show our gratitude to these healthcare heroes.  They work in Emergency Rooms, Intensive Care Units and Respiratory Therapy, in both clinical and nonclinical positions, caring for patients during this pandemic . We have chosen Lankenau Medical Center’s healthcare providers, in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania as the  recipients of the food donations. Lankenau serves a very diverse population in both Montgomery County and Philadelphia. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health these two areas currently  have the highest rate of COVID-19 in the state.

Would you help us care for these heroes by providing a meal or a snack  for a shift in one of the departments and feed 50 people? The Hospital will determine how to distribute the food to the various shifts.

CPK has reduced their prices and is offering a meal that includes 20 pizzas, 50 brownies and 50 bottles of water at a  cost of  $375. A snack for 50 people includes 50 brownies, 50 packs of potato chips and 50 bottles of water at a cost of $90.

CPK will process the orders between 9 am – 11am daily,  supply the food, include a notification with the name of the donor if you desire, and deliver the food once daily to Lankenau. If you would like a donor acknowledgment from Lankenau please include your email when placing the order.

How it works:

If you are able to donate $375 ,or raise it by partnering with friends or family, (we can not accept partial payment) or provide a $90 snack, please do the following:

• Call the City Avenue CPK at 215-473-7010 between 9 am – 11 am daily and tell them you are donating to the Lankenau Champions Fund
• Give them your name and Credit/Debit Card information include your email if you want to receive a donor acknowledgment from Lankenau for your contribution
