Chester County ministry seeks volunteers to provide tax help
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is an initiative of the Internal Revenue Service that provides free tax preparation and filing for low and moderate income households, people with disabilities, and those with limited English proficiency.
Life Transforming Ministries is looking for anyone interested in a short term community outreach volunteer position for the upcoming tax season. This opportunity does not require prior tax experience and offers:
• Free IRS Certification Training
• Train in a classroom, or at your own pace online
• Sites in Coatesville, West Chester, Phoenixville, Kennett Square, Downingtown, Exton, & other areas
• Multiple roles
• Tax Preparer
• Quality Reviewer
• Interpreter (English/Spanish)
• Greeter
