QuickBooks for Nonprofits

This course establishes best practices for designing a QuickBooks system to meet the complex needs of a nonprofit organization – grants, programs, fundraisers and net assets with donor restriction. Also explore the intricacies of the QuickBooks’ reporting system – customizing, filtering and extracting QuickBooks reports. The instructor will be utilizing a sample QuickBooks file during this presentation.

About the Presenter
Amy O’Connor, brings more than 15 years of accounting and management experience in her diverse role at Bookminders. As a Senior Accountant and Business Development Specialist, Amy creates and maintains referral relationships allowing Bookminders to identify potential clients in need of weekly outsourced bookkeeping services.

Additionally, as the assigned accountant for a number of clients, Amy provides weekly accounting support to several small business and non-profits clients. A mother of two, Amy is proud to work for an organization that affords work-life balance to its staff, while providing clients access to highly skilled professionals they otherwise couldn’t afford.

Among her significant previous positions, Amy served as a Senior Manager at Johnson Lambert LLP and a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from William & Mary and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from the American University – Kogod School of Business. As a firm supporter of youth activities that promote education, health and wellness, Amy is an active volunteer in her local youth sports programs.
