We INVITE you to NOMINATE Greater Philadelphia’s Top Social Innovators FOR THE 2018 AWARDS

This year’s celebration of the Social Innovations Awards will support the journal’s continued expansion across the globe. This event is an incredible opportunity to stand alongside Greater Philadelphia’s Social Innovators who are reshaping our neighborhoods and communities and whose ideas are inspiring people around the world.

We inspire leaders and organizations to dream. We create the space for leaders to tap into their own creativity to innovate. We endow leaders with the tools and knowledge to launch and grow their ideas. We challenge leaders to become better versions of themselves. We transform leaders and their companies.

Awards Ceremony​

The 2018 Social Innovations Journal (SIJ) Awards will be a night to celebrate Philadelphia’s regional visionaries and how they are changing the social landscape in Greater Philadelphia. It is an opportunity for the Philadelphia Region social sector agents of change to come together to honor the progress that has been collectively made and initiatives that serves as catalysts spurring further social innovation and impact. SIJ will honor the region’s most passionate and accomplished social innovators and entrepreneurs and the work that they are doing to make Greater Philadelphia a more inclusive, equitable, and thriving region of opportunity for all residents. These awards will highlight the top leaders and organizations across the Greater Philadelphia Region.

​In bringing recognition to these individuals and organizations, we:

• Promote a culture of bold thinking and problem solving;
• Increase awareness and build a culture for social enterprise and entrepreneurship;
• Assist award nominees and winners in telling their stories and strengthening their initiatives;
• Build active participation from SIJ readers; and ​
• Supports a growing community of entrepreneurs and innovators.

​Awards Criteria

Criteria: Any individual or organization can be nominated for a social innovation award; however, the award winner will be selected by the public from among those who best exemplify the tenants of social enterprise and innovative thinking. These individuals and organizations may work in the for-profit, governmental, or nonprofit space, and demonstrate a bold determination to solve social problems through innovative methods.
