NanoDay@Penn

Posted by University of Pennsylvania on September 11, 2017

The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science hosts an annual event that highlights nano-scale science. This year NanoDay@Penn will be held on October 3, 2017. For NanoDay@Penn, we offer a schedule of activities for high school classes, which is held at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Penn in Philadelphia. School groups arrive by 9:30 AM and follow a schedule that includes tours of state-of-the-art microscopy and other technical facilities, demos and hands-on activities that convey some of the excitement of nano-based science. Lunch is provided for any of the students and teachers who attend. Students will leave at 2 PM.

We are able to host a very limited number of school groups (8 groups; around 20 participants per group; a teacher/chaperone must be present during the entire visit). If you would be interested in bringing your group to the Oct. 3rd NanoDay Penn event, please fill in the requested information at: https://www.nano.upenn.edu/nanoday/registration/ . More information about the event can also be found at: https://www.nano.upenn.edu/nanoday/.

If you would like your class to be considered for participation, please complete your form by 5 PM, September 15, 2017. You will hear the status of your request by 5 PM, Sept. 19th. If you apply, please note that should you get an invitation, we’ll be asking for a quick confirmation response from you to secure your spot. Please be on the lookout for these emails. Every year we have applicants whom we can’t reach because of typos in their contact information – please make sure yours is correct. Thank you.
