Assistant Director of College Readiness, OnTrack to Post-Secondary Education

OnTrack to Post-Secondary Education (OTPSE) is an eLearning college and career readiness curriculum designed to help 9th-12th grade students successfully navigate high school, understand the process and requirements to obtain some type of post-secondary education, and figure out how to pay for their education. The program is delivered through grade specific short videos, covering topics such as: Developing strong study skills, ACT/SAT Prep, resolving conflict, FAFSA completion, and paying for college.
The assistant director of college readiness’ main role will be to lead workshops with high school students (and their parents/guardians) on topics such as goal-setting, college essay writing, and FAFSA completion. They will also be tasked with filming videos that will be part of the OnTrack curriculum. Additionally, they will help find new partners for OnTrack to foster the program’s growth.

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of experience in college access
Experience conducting student and parent workshops like financial aid completion, college application completion, career exploration, creating a post-secondary list, and goal setting.
Preferred – a network of school or community organization contacts in the Greater Philadelphia Area
Proficiency with computers and basic MS Office programs
Ability to travel
Excellent organization skills including written and oral presentations
Responsibilities:
Conduct student/parent workshops in support of OnTrack to PSE’s post-secondary curriculum
Filming videos for the OnTrack 9th-12th grade curriculum
Support the OnTrack to PSE program’s advancement into new schools and community agencies (this includes presenting and tabling at conferences)
Help coordinate/run OnTrack’s social media accounts
Understand UIF’s goals and purpose while enhancing the organization’s brand image
