Resistance Summer – Germantown
Posted by Office of Councilwoman Helen Gym on July 24, 2017
This summer, the resistance will be in our city parks! We’ll be hosting #ResistanceSummer events at parks across the city to take action in defense of the right to healthcare and public education. We’ll connect with neighbors and new friends, and share ideas for how to effectively resist destructive federal policies.
This event will be located at Vernon Park at 5800 Germantown Ave. on August 2nd from 6-8pm.
Please feel free to bring folding chairs, snacks, and drinks!
Please RSVP here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScM2P4IMBLGV8WLH0ate5tjO1dKAeD_8ohHkcvgrV8nPkh2PA/viewform
The public education budget and the healthcare bill will be voted on in the next few months–so we must act now. We look forward to seeing you there!
We will also be having two other events that you are welcome to attend:
– Malcolm X Park (W Philly) – July 25th, 6-8pm
– Columbus Sq. Park (S Philly) – August 9th, 6-8pm
Contact our office at 215-686-3420 or email tess.kerins@phila.gov if you have questions.
