Resistance Summer (West Philly)
Hosted by Councilwoman Helen Gym
Tuesday, July 25 at 6 PM – 8 PM EDT
Malcolm X Memorial Park
5100 Pine Street
This summer, the resistance will be in our city parks! We’ll be hosting #ResistanceSummer events at parks across the city to take action in defense of the right to healthcare and public education. We’ll connect with neighbors and new friends, and share ideas for how to effectively resist destructive federal policies.
This event will be located at Malcolm X Park at 5100 Pine St. in West Philadelphia from 6-8pm.
Please feel free to bring folding chairs, snacks, and drinks!
Please RSVP here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1qAgV4zep4UX1glx9eHxGijMaNKI4phZ6X1q2-YMiIpM/edit?ts=59638333
The public education budget and the healthcare bill will be voted on in the next few months–so we must act now. We look forward to seeing you there!
We will also be having two other events that you are welcome to attend:
– Vernon Park (NW Philly) – August 7th, 6-8pm
-Columbus Sq. Park (S Philly) – August 9th, 6-8pm
Contact our office at 215-686-3420 or email tess.kerins@phila.gov if you have questions.
