Retirement Delayed: The Impact of Student Debt on Older Americans

American Student Assistance released a report, “Retirement Delayed: The Impact of Student Debt on the Daily Lives of Older Americans,” which found that borrowers are delaying – or even failing – to save for retirement which has a profound impact on their finances later in life and hinders their ability to retire. As a result, many Americans continue to work through retirement age or face having their Social Security wages garnished.
