Teacher-Leader Collaborative Grants

I am writing on behalf of Philadelphia Academy of School Leaders (School Leaders), an organization whose mission is to support Philadelphia schools by recognizing and developing our exceptional educators. At School Leaders, we believe that all of our city’s children deserve safe, welcoming schools where they are supported and inspired to achieve high levels of personal and academic growth. We launched the Teacher-Leader Collaborative Grants program to empower teams of teachers, together with their principal, to address impediments to student success beyond the walls of their own classrooms.

This school year, we funded 13 projects ranging from $4,000 to $14,300. With their grant, the team at Philip H. Sheridan School built a play space and designed curricula to support teaching their students how to play and work together while promoting language development and numeracy skills. We are thrilled to announce that the 2017-2018 Teacher-Leader Collaborative Grants application is now live on the School Leaders website. Applications must be submitted by March 10th.
