A. Education Level:
Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required, with degree in education.

B. Experience Required:
Experience instructing middle, high school, and at-risk students in an academic setting.
Experience in program management and development.
Experience in maintaining appropriate documentation.
Experience related to evaluating participant progress in education programs and selecting and using various forms of evaluation.
Experience with fund development.

C. Other Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and behavioral management skills.
Genuine care and compassion for students.
Background and understanding of different learning styles.
Ability to work flexible hours and able to work evenings.
Experience with technology used for teaching, presentations, and reporting.

Delaware driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

General Overview:
The Program Manager is responsible for directing and managing all programs offered at Kind to Kids Foundation, with an emphasis program development, teaching, and program evaluation of the LifeSkills Program. This individual will both teach the LifeSkills program and manage and supervise the contracted program instructors. Kind to Kids’ LifeSkills programs includes programming for children at risk in elementary school, middle school, high school, – including youth in rehabilitation facilities, and youth in foster care who are aging out/transitioning to become young adults. Manager supports president and assists with strategic development planning, fundraising activities and solicitation of gifts from corporations, federal and state agencies, foundations and individuals. Essential functions and duties

1. Reports to President of Kind to Kids Foundation
2. Provide small group instruction (usually 10 students per class) to at-risk students in foster care, youth rehabilitation, and at-risk children.
3. Together with the President, select appropriate curriculum and program materials
4. Together with President, develop curriculum for youth groups as needed, and prepare the development of an education plan for each assigned class.
5. Supervise the implementation of the program
6. Provide the instructional materials used in the program to instructors
7. Ensure effective flow of sessions, including pairing of students to instructors and in accordance to participant learning needs
8. Ensure that instructors work toward specific program goals, including lesson plans for every class
9. Be responsible for all participant evaluation and tracking that data
10. Work collaboratively with state workers and related service providers of the students.
11. Maintain accurate documentation of class results and daily attendance
12. Monitor student’s progress with reports at the end of each program.
13. Maintain confidentiality of students and records.
14. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place and that all required data is collected for every class and program
15. Provide initial and on-going training to LifeSkills instructors, and maintain records of training
16. Work with President to hire qualified LifeSkills instructors
17. Ensure that there is a specific process for supervision of all LifeSkills instructors and that it is being implemented with fidelity
18. Update and implement appropriate personnel policies, such as child abuse policy.
19. Ensure that instructors are performing his/her job as expected and are in compliance with all aspects of Kind to Kids’ Personnel Policies.
20. Demonstrate high degree of professionalism and ethics.
21. Working collaboratively with President, coworkers, instructors and staff.
22. Facilitate growth of LifeSkills course(s) to be taught at designated locations throughout the state.
23. Work with President to expand LifeSkills program to other agencies and educational institutions.
24. Perform strategic planning and other duties as assigned by President.
25. Perform fund development and donor acquisition activities.
26. Provide President with all program data, and maintain open and ongoing communication
27. Ensure compliance with the grant funding or regulatory requirements in regards to programs, including the frequency of classes offered, number of participants, and collection of data
28. Collect and approve all time-sheets from part-time contract staff and ensure proper documentation.

Details
Program Manager is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, 5 days, 8 hours per day. Teaching for some after school and evening programs is required. Salary is $44,000 – $50,000 commensurate with skills, education and experience.
