U.S. Soccer Foundation Seeks Community Partners for Soccer for Success Initiative
The U.S. Soccer Foundation, in partnership with Trinity Health, is seeking partners to implement its Soccer for Success Initiative program in select communities starting in the spring of 2017.
The program is designed for children in grades K-8, operates a minimum of three days a week for at least twenty-four weeks during the school year, and is offered at no cost to participating families.
The foundation will provide awardees with jerseys, soccer balls, socks, shin guards, and field equipment based on the number of participants enrolled in the program. In certain circumstances, cash grants also will be provided to organizations that need help paying coaches, program management staff, and/or miscellaneous program costs. Priority will be given to organizations that do not require additional support.
Organizations selected for funding must be located in eligible communities in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota.
For complete program guidelines, a list of eligible communities, and application instructions, see the U.S. Soccer Foundation website.
