The Customer Engagement Manager is an important position at Alfrea.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience engaging people and teams into taking actions. Alfrea is a new social sharing technology platform transforming the relationship people have to food. This role will be responsible for engaging with people, teams, non-profits, government and corporations that have stake in a sustainable planet and healthy people.

Alfrea is a new technology-based platform that has been created to change people’s relationship with fresh goods by providing individuals an opportunity to take greater control and have greater involvement with it. The company is based on multiple trends that show a growing concern over health and food quality, a growing desire to grow-your-own and get back to the earth, concern over lack of access to fresh whole foods and a growing entrepreneurial and sharing society.

What we do:

We empower people who want to grow their own food but lack land, time, or knowledge. Once grown we provide a hyperlocal marketplace for people to buy and sell homegrown food.

What Airbnb did for the bedroom we intend to do for the backyard and what Uber did for ride sharing we intend to do for garden service that combined with an online marketplace to buy, sell or donate excess food.

Alfrea is one of those unique opportunities to build a highly scalable business which could produce huge rewards for the team and society if we as a team can scale it to reach its potential.

We are in the process of raising seed funding and have demonstrated traction with market influencers.

About the position:

The Customer Engagement Manager position is for a self-directed individual who is passionate about the planet and making a difference for people and communities and their relationship to food.

The Customer Engagement Manager will be a key point of contact for prospective customers and business partners.

At the organizational level the CEM will set up and attend meeting with key stakeholders and influencers.

At the individual provider level the CEM will identify providers and then set up meeting with them to help navigate the system and encourage usage of Alfrea.

The primary focus of this role is external with a focus on increasing the number of customers and their usage of Alfrea. The person will also provide internal team members a better understand our customers and their preferences. The CEM will also want to provide input into how Alfrea interacts with customers and business partners. They will play a key role in being our eyes and ears in hearing and seeing what people want as we seek to provide people with the tools they need to grow and eat local fresh food.

Supporting customers and partners in effectively using Alfrea

· Comfortable both working at the organization level with senior managers in corporations, non-profits and government and at the provider level working with individuals and small scale food and service providers.

· Familiar with and excited by making a difference in social impact and sustainability

Ideal candidate will have experience working in entrepreneurial environment in developing strategy and tactics to grow an organization.

· Preferred but not required local South Jersey or Philadelphia area. Most work can be done within the Philadelphia area but occasional team meetings will be held in or near Galloway NJ.
