Mighty Writers Fall Intern
Mighty Writers is seeking a fall intern for our South Philadelphia location. We are a nonprofit organization committed to teaching children ages 7-17 to think and write with clarity. The Mighty Writer Intern reports to the Program Director and supports the Program Manager with many aspects of different programs. This is a part time position that requires about 10-15 hours a week and approximately 150 hours in all.
This is an unpaid internship ideally for students or recent graduates interested or experienced in working with youth, especially in an education-focused environment. Although unpaid, this is an excellent educational opportunity, and course credit can always be gained from it if university guidelines allow. The Mighty Intern is a unique position designed for altruistic and energetic individuals committed to the education of our young students, and applicants should be driven by a desire to inspire our youth to become successful writers and independent thinkers.
Please submit a resume and cover letter to tford@mightywriters.org for Mighty Writers South intern applications. Subject Line: Mighty Intern Submission. The cover letter should include your educational philosophy on how to inspire kids to write and succeed as well as how your previous life and work experience qualifies you for this position.
